How Can We Help
The majority of Spartan Air employees have served in the Canadian Forces and they bring a unique set of skills to the table.
Spartan Air is here to help supplement the Canadian Forces with air transportation when needed. Our employees believe we can assist the CAF by repositioning personnel, equipment, and parts within 60 minutes of receiving the call to transport. Sometimes airlines do not have a flight when you need to move a member. Buses are unable to transport equipment and gear fast enough or far enough in the time required. Or FedEx cannot guarantee a critical part arrives on time.
Rather than occupy military assets to conduct last minute transportation, Spartan Air is here to help! Please see below how we have tailored our services to aid the three services and check out our fleet to understand how we can best serve those serving us.
Royal Canadian Air Force
Spartan Air Transportation is well suited to supporting the RCAF since many Wings across Canada share the airfield with civilian aerospace industries.
When aircrews, technicians, or parts are required for immediate transportation in order to make an asset airworthy, we are there. Rather than spending upwards of $60,000 per hour in operating costs, a partnership with Spartan Air would cost less than 10%, save military airframe hours, expedite the arrival of parts, and keep military assets airworthy to perform their duties.
We are capable of transporting upwards of 40 troops or 7,800lbs of equipment. Whether you need a tire, a new engine, or second aircrew transported to another airfield, we can do that the same day.
Royal Canadian Navy
The Royal Canadian Navy protects our sovereign waters but when they require assistance, they either need to return to port, cutting their mission short or receive an aerial resupply, racking up thousands in aircraft operating costs.
Spartan Air is here to fill the gap. Our fleet and experienced aircrews are capable of conducting aerial cargo drops up to 250 nautical miles from the coast (range will vary based on payload). Whether a small parcel with critical parts or a large pallet with mechanical equipment, our Air Droppable Kits will descend under parachute and remain buoyant until the items are retrieved.
Canadian Army
Whether troops are operating in the field or in garrison, Spartan Air is there to assist.
Licensed to transport dangerous goods, we are fully capable of transporting and airdropping the majority of equipment the Army could be expected to require.
When a vehicle breaks down in an austere environment, perhaps the best course of action is to fly the solution in. Air drop on sight or land at the nearest airfield for pick up are all viable for us.
